Fight like a Girl.

“Keep praising God constantly, it totally pierces the darkness I find. Fill your house with worship music, keep your armour on, surround your self with scripture. I will try to do this also!-Carly

The words flashed before me as I read her email. Nourishment which filled this hungry Servant Girl, soul food that I munched and digested throughout my day.

It’s true, I’ve been overwhelmed as I’ve adjusted to living back in the ‘Land Down Under.’Survival mode really.

I had spoken to mum recently about going to the Doctors and getting some ‘Happy Pills.’ Forgive the terminology but sometimes you just need to keep your sense of humour in life. Mum spoke perspective about my circumstances these past 6 weeks and gently encouraged me to “Find my feet again and to Give it a few more weeks.” Great wisdom, as I must say, life is finding balance once again.

But the reminder about keeping my spiritual armour on each day still rings loud in my mind. I’ve taken up the challenge and have begun praying it daily over myself and my family.

Would you like to join me?

For it is God’s power that creates us to live with strength. Strength that fights all fiery arrows that the enemy throws our way.

We are Warrior Girls needing to remember that a fight in the spiritual is going on daily. Our eyes must be open and our ears attuned to the whispers of the Holy Spirit who can prompt us to speak words that burn, incinerate the crafty efforts of the devil.

“Be strong with the Lord’s mighty power.” (NLT Ephesians 6:10)

We Servant Girls have a supernatural God who can intervene-He fights on our behalf so we win the spiritual battle’s playing out.

But I think the first step is identifying the spiritual havoc going on within our life.

It will be different for all of us, as we all have different trigger points which will be pushed by the enemy.

So I sat on my deck the other morning, coffee in hand, asking the Lord to open my eyes to the attacks. Asking Him to show me the exact place(s) where the enemy is stirring so I could go into combat mode. Fight relentlessly until this Servant Girl had victory and maintained it.

Would you be willing to pray it too?

Ask the Lord where the devil is using his schemes to stop you, prevent you from living in the way which God intended.

Then when you’re done, be aware. Stand on your guard and Heighten your senses.

Prepare yourself as a solider, arm yourself with scripture which will pierce darkness and restore lies with truth.

Renew your mind and allow God’s goodness and peace to rule your thoughts.

Praise Him with a thanksgiving heart regardless,

Set your eyes on Jesus and rise in Christ’s power.

Fight until the devil flees and when he resists, fight some more.

He is a coward who wants nothing more than to make your life a misery, filling it with rubbish that takes your focus off the main game.

Do you need to refocus on your main game?

Don’t allow him to rob you anymore. Become vigilant in prayer, wear your armour; “So that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes.

For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.

Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand.

Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace.

In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.

And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people.” (NLT Ephesians 6:10-18)

Fight Servant Girls, fight until you’ve won.

  1. Dearest Heavenly Father, Thank you for the blood of Jesus which cleanses our minds. Equip our minds with Your helmet of salvation. Protect our minds from every evil influence. We submit our minds to You and thank You for granting us ever-increasing discernment, wisdom, and an understanding mind. Thank you that we have the mind of Christ, and we hold the thoughts, feelings and purposes of His heart. Renew our minds and grant us a fresh mental and spiritual attitude. In Jesus’ wonderful name, Amen.

Psalm 119:169 NLT”The Lord listens to my cry and will give me the discerning mind he promised.”
Romans 8:6 NLT”The Holy Spirit controls my mind, which leads to life and peace.”
Romans 12:2 “I will not conform to the pattern of this world, but will be transformed by the renewing of my mind,”
2Timothy1:7AMP”For God has not given me a spirit of timidity(of cowardice, of craven and cringing and fawning fear), but (He has given me a Spirit) of power and of love and of calm and of well-balanced mind and of discipline and self-control.”

“Kia Kaha”, Stand strong, united in the knowledge that we are all in this together….greater is He that is in us!

Blessing and loving arms around you sister.
