It’s an unusual week if I don’t need to sow hope into the heart of a friend.
You know the type where she waits with an expectation, a desire for something greater to happen.
We all have problems which require us to dig a little further, to be honest with ourselves and with our situation at hand.
Living in a fallen world can see Servant Girls staying awake long into the night facing worries that need big prayers and big answers.
And God amongst the chaos and confusion is whispering one word which will change our situation and fill the empty ‘hope hole.’
He repeats it over and over again… “Trust Me.”
For fear cannot dwell where trust lives.
Let me say it again,
For fear cannot dwell where trust lives,
They are opposites. Fear believes that a situation poses threat, is dangerous, where trust has a reliance that faith will strengthen, give a sense of hope and believes that God will hear prayers even if they are from the fainthearted.
Trust allows the heart to cling to the promises of God when chaos encompasses a situation. It flows into the soul and strengthens the mind.
When your world is crumbling and your heart aches, aches to the point where words cannot even be formed, know beloved daughter that He understands. He sees that which the world does not.
Your Father in Heaven leans in to bring you comfort, to strengthen your weary soul and to give you peace. In our weakness He is strong. Believe His promises.
Cling to them when the storm rages and showers your world with rain.
For we know God is light and when light and rain combine in a specific way it creates a rainbow. Light at different angles coming through many raindrops forms the colour which paints the sky.
Can you see His rainbow in your life?
Be strengthened and encouraged Servant Girl as you read part of His love letter to you.
“For he will hide you in His shelter in the day of trouble; he will conceal you under the cover of his tent; he will lift you high upon a rock.” Psalm 27:5
“I am leaving you with a gift-peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give isn’t like the peace of the world gives. So don’t be troubled or afraid.” John 14:27
“In the day of my trouble I call upon you, for you answer me.” Psalm 86:7
I pray as I write this, that God will uplift you in any situation that you might face, that you open yourself to a love that pursues you relentlessly and you find healing where you currently have hurt.
You are dearly loved friend.
