Today an email arrives, the Pastor I call Husband has an aunty who is seeing out her last days on earth, a phone call comes, someone close to me has received an unexpected test result, her voice cracks and sobs are heard, my heart pounds hard, the For sale sign has been hammered into our lawn and the day sobers me.
God is good, in control and I can still sing His praises as I see the sun set over the soybeans which sway gently in the wind.
Life has an ability to be fleeting. The days may seem long but the years are short. We must make the most of it.
Have eyes that see Heavenly opportunities and turn them into gifts which reflect God’s goodness giving Him glory.
Living a life filled with tremendous faith will look ridiculous to the observer but don’t be afraid to push forward.
The enemy will buck and tease your most vulnerable but stand firm Servant Girl, no weapon formed against you shall prosper.
Declare it. Live it. Own it.
Christine Caine writes “Warfare always surrounds birthing… If you feel like all hell has broken loose it’s because you are close to giving birth to something new.”
You see God needs radical for His kingdom sake. I saw that when I read about Elisha. He was an ordinary man, a Farmer who did extraordinary things.
He got a calling so he immediately followed. No lag time just a courageous “Yes.” I’m sure he didn’t have all the answers as he burnt his plow and killed his twelve oxen which the other Farmers happily feasted on, but he knew there wasn’t a point of return. He burnt his bridges so to speak and strained forward.
Some of us want to keep running back to safety, even when there is a burning desire blazing intensely within to do the daring. Be bold.
Your passion has been created for a purpose…use it well.
The unknown is scary, I know that too well, but if we are faithful in the little then can’t God trust us with the big?
He desires to use simple, ordinary people who are willing to commit and stay the course.
Isn’t that the way? God uses the everyday person like you and me to do the inconceivable, to fulfill the unimaginable…
Tremendous, courageous faith…You have what it takes.
If we try to stop seeking all the answers and just walk, one step in front of the other, then the path will open up. No need to push or stay paralyzed in fear but rather step out and don’t return.
As Craig Groeschel said “You don’t have to understand everything to obey immediately. God may not give you all the details but He may give you a word.”
When God has impressed a holy discontent on your heart and spoken a word to your soul then trust and act.
If we stay in the comfortable then we will never know what could have been.
You have a purpose, your handcrafted in the image of our Creator and He never makes mistakes.
Big prayers get big answers, be bold, be daring and never, ever, ever give up.
