She sat in her pajamas wearing black glasses and smiling into the camera. I’m on the other side of the world trying to orchestrate an adult conversation with the woman I call “Mama.” The chaos of children make it a beautiful mess as two generations interact via technology.
Charlotte and Sunny stand as close to the computer as possible telling their news of Easter to their Nanny.
I had only been putting my seven-year old to bed earlier when her chin quivered and sparkling blue eyes welled with tears. “Mama I don’t have any family in Canada like the other kids. Why did God have to send us here?” I could see her fight emotion that created warm liquid to splash down her face.
The stinging burnt my heart as I stroked her hair and wiped tears. For two years my children have made a sacrifice to move to the ends of the earth to serve with their parents.
A reminder came as I looked at her-Sacrifice for Christ hurts.
Have you felt it?
When there is an emptying out of self and a chasm made for His leading and instruction then the path less traveled opens up.
It’s the road that few dare to walk so the path may need firm imprints for the person behind to follow. Lead where you are.
A leader is courageous and isn’t persuaded by man but stays true north to his calling in obedience-Regardless…
He has an understanding that earth is a place of transition that is passed through to eternal glory.
Glory. Where all groaning for justice, happiness, health and significance stops as euphoria is reached because of the presence of Christ. A state of well being that is never ending and divine interactions had continuously. Home.
To get there is a conscious decision to live day by day wrapped in the gift of salvation and truth.
To follow with a steadfast attitude with a knowing that life is a marathon not a sprint. The pace must be set and achievable in order to make the finish line…never, ever give up on your convictions. Stay the course and complete the race.
Yes it is hard, yes there are challenges but you have it in you to keep on keeping on…Remember the same power that raised Christ from the dead resides in you. Eye’s up, sharpen your mind, keep your heart pure, open ears and tune into to the Spirits promptings and run.
When you find yourself weak and drained, fall to your knees and bathe yourself in Him. Draw goodness from his love letter which guides us on living. Use Him as your energy, power and inspiration.
Now in boldness step out and fight the good fight…
God is good and he is worth every breath.
Hebrews 12:1 “Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a huge crowd of witnesses to the life of faith, let us strip off every weight that slows us down, especially the sin that so easily trips us up. And let us run with endurance the race God has set before us.”
You have a calling to complete that has been etched for your uniqueness. There is no one in the world like you. Stand and be brave. His love drives out fear.
Go Friend, go in peace and complete your piece of the eternal puzzle.
