The Attainable Dream…

Joseph had a dream that seemed ludicrous to his brothers but he had heard

His Dad rebuked him for speaking out the pictures that came to him that dark night as he slept under a blanket of stars, yet in his quiet moments wondered what his son had saw…

His dream took years to come to fruition…they often do

His brothers were raging, full of jealousy the day they threw him into a pit & then sold their own flesh and blood for twenty pieces of silver to cruel slave traders. He walked long, the sun rising and setting thirty times as he trekked through terrain and intense desert heat.

One foot in front of the other…

Was he stepping out bitterness or grace as he walked each day? Did he choose forgiveness for his brothers who had mistreated him because he believed with his whole heart that the Lord is good regardless of circumstance? Did he have a deeper understanding to see that the human race walks hindered and blinded to the ways we should be living? Or was he twisted and torn as he took the lonely journey? During those quiet moments did Joseph really believe that his God given dreams were true, and if he only continued to believe and obey they would turn into reality regardless of what the world was saying?

It’s a challenge to keep on keeping on when the future that seemed so promising starts to fade. The days start to lose meaning and the drive to achieve starts to dissipate. Each day the dream becomes more distant, the heart pines for the God given passion that once burned bright like a fire. You see that doubt covers the dreams like a blanket, wrapping it in hopelessness and fear. Yet if you truly believe in the promises that He has given, things would be different.

It takes a journey to get to the destination and I believe that God is more concerned about what happens along the way. It’s in that hidden place of waiting where character transformation takes place, where sharpening and honing becomes a focus so His glory shines.

He has the future prepared but we must live in the now…

Don’t lose hope for the plans He has promised, but be willing to dig deep to find the strength and determination to continue. He provides all we need on a daily basis to fight the shadows that lurk around wanting to turn thoughts into disbelief.

He gives dreams because He believe in us…

We His children have purpose and are wired with creative minds to achieve. He the Potter and us His clay. The dreams may come with passion that oozes out of willing hearts to serve and obey. It might come in the night as the body longs to sleeps yet the mind races with ideas. The heart beats wildly as the mouth submit’s thoughts to the Creator. Inspiration is individual as the Lord of the Universe leans in and touches one at a time.

The pursuit of dreams are not for the fainthearted…

It takes courage to sustain…

Strength to persevere…

A rock solid faith to persist…

Life gets hard and troubles comes our way, but its in those moments we have a choice for how we act…

The journey brings hardship…we live in a fallen world…obstacles rise and fall like the wind mixing with the seas creating large storms…The boat called life rises and falls…rises and falls…The dream that seemed so near can only be seen in the distance…sitting on the horizon far away. Up and down we go feeling fear of the hardships and a lack of energy to pursue.

Yet its in those moments the mind must submit and truly believe without an unshakable faith the we can do all things through Him who gives us strength.

The dream is attainable because with Him all things are possible.

Don’t be discouraged and give up, instead remain steadfast and finish the race…
