Guilt Free…

It’s the breaking of a new day and with it brings fresh beginnings…

The reassurance of His forgiveness is felt as I fall at His feet…

I suck in His grace & recognize it’s oxygen for life. In that moment I realise my past mistakes have been acting as a chasm creating a barrier between He & I

I contemplate His love and know nothing can seperate us…

The heavy weight starts to lift providing freedom that only He can give…

It’s also in that same split second my humanness strikes and I begin to rationalize His grace…Thoughts start to take over and I find myself sitting in the chair of judgement. Don’t I need to stay bolted up in a cage serving a long term sentence in order to be let off the charge? How can deep regret & sorrow be enough for the things that I‘ve done? The inner turmoil swirls around creating emotion and confusion. I wrestle with it, feeling the hard edges bruise and cut my perception of His great love. It damages and marks the heart.

I close my eyes to pray, it’s in solitude He reveals Himself. I lean into His goodness and see a picture of His gentle face looking at me with adoring eyes.

It is done” I hear Him whisper.

I sit in silence as His presence manifests bringing a deep peace…

It is done” I say to myself…

The God of the universe sent his son Jesus so he can whisper “It is done?”

The moment sobers and humbles me…

His grace is sufficient…

“His grace is sufficient” I say aloud starting a mantra…

Confusion dissipates and His calmness seeps into my core mending brokenness that hid within. Lips that once cursed past behaviour converts to praise for the God Almighty. My free spirit dances in His goodness and I feel the guilt that held me back leave. His mercy triumphs.

I sit in the moment and marinate in His truth.

My soul rejoices as I face a new day filled with new ’beginnings.” .
